  • Getting to Know Me . . .

    • I am a product of Catholic education, having attended St. Mary’s School in East Islip (my hometown!) and St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School.
    • I attended Dowling College for my undergraduate work, earning my B.A.  in Elementary Education.
    • I went on to earn my Master’s Degree  at Stony Brook University.
    • I have previously taught in the Connetquot Central School District as both a substitute teacher and a fourth-grade teacher.
    • I have been a proud member of the SWS Faculty since 2018!
    • When I am not in my classroom you can find me snuggling with my dog Hercules, reading a book, or catching up on the latest episode of “Doctor Who.” You can also find me scouring craft stores for new art projects and for supplies to finish older projects!

  • Welcome!

I am excited to welcome you to Fifth Grade! This year will be full of fun learning experiences. You will switch between four classes: math, science, ELA, and social studies. We will be learning about the regions around the United States, as well as early indigenous people of North America, early explorers, and settlers as well as the beginning of our nation. Together we will work hard, make mistakes and grow as learners.

As Sixth graders, we will be learning about the Eastern Hemisphere, geography and map skills, ancient civilizations, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, scientific developments, the Age of Reformation, and the Age of Revolution. Together we will work hard, make mistakes and grow as learners.

    Message to Parents!

Thank you for choosing St. William the Abbot School! Our 2022-2023 school year is going to be fantastic. My goal as an educator is to foster an environment of learning, respect, and responsibility. I want my students to know they are safe and cared for while in my room. Mistakes mean we are learning, but no matter what we keep moving forward! We are once again utilizing Schoology as our Learning Management System. All announcements, homework, and classwork will be posted in Schoology. If you have any questions or concerns I can be reached by email or by phone at 516-785-6784.
